In Southern Illinois, the need for Cancer awareness is extremely critical to help individuals learn how to fight the deadly disease.  Out of the top 20 counties in Illinois with the highest Cancer death rates, ten or 50% of these counties are in the southern 34 county region.  Nine or 45% of these top 20 counties with the highest new Cancer case rates counties are also in the southern region.  These are alarming rates that deserve maximum attention to reduce suffering and death due to Cancer.
